Our Department of Kinesiology is one of the largest and ranks 9th among 45 Kinesiology schools in Canada. Join this session to learn more about your options!
We offer four different degree programs, all of which are in high demand. Degree programs are offered in Kinesiology, Science of Kinesiology, Physical Education, and Concurrent Physical Education/Education. Courses encourage students to create, integrate and apply knowledge from the biosciences, social sciences, and humanities in the transdisciplinary study of human movement as it applies to health and performance across the lifespan.
The Accelerate into Master’s (AIM) program in Kinesiology (concurrent entry into our BKin and Master of Professional Kinesiology) offers students the opportunity to earn both their undergraduate and graduate degrees in 5 years.
Our new double degree program allows students to combine their studies in Kinesiology at Brock University (3 years) and the University of Portsmouth in England (1 year) and receive two internationally recognized degrees: a Bachelor of Kinesiology (BKin) from Brock and a Bachelor of Science (with Honours) in Sport & Exercise Science from Portsmouth.

The Department of Kinesiology is committed to providing students with an advanced understanding of all aspects of human movement as it applies to health and performance through innovative lectures and lab-based coursework in state-of-the-art research and teaching labs. The teaching labs are designed to complement our kinesiology curriculum, providing experiential education opportunities to our undergraduates. As a part of the Kinesiology experience, you will be able to visit the Brock Functional Inclusive Training Centre (Bfit) at the Canada Games Park. Bfit pursues innovative, multi-disciplinary research and provides supervised community exercise programs to improve health in older adults, cardiac patients, and individuals with a spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, amputation, and various other neurological conditions. We strive to encourage members in their pursuit of maintaining and improving cardiovascular and muscular fitness, enhancing balance and stability, increasing confidence, and maintaining independence. By working within our Centre, students can apply their classroom knowledge to real-life situations and develop skills in dealing with special populations. There are various courses offered by the Department of Kinesiology that include practicum components at the Bfit Centre.

On this tour you will see a second year Molecular Biology and Human Physiology teaching lab in the Cairns building. Inside this lab, you will have the opportunity to try out multiple experiments used in second-year biology! You may also ask questions of an instructor, lab demonstrator, and graduate students in Biology. Lastly the tour will head to Mackenzie Chown, where you will see a first-year teaching lab, a neuroscience faculty research lab, as well as take a trip to Inniskillin Hall — home of the CCOVI Research Institute.

On this tour you will visit the second-year organic chemistry and analytical chemistry labs. You will see the instrumentation housed in our undergraduate labs, where students obtain hands-on experience during their undergraduate studies.
