In this episode, Tricia is joined by Brad Klassen who completed both his undergraduate and master's degrees in Statistics at Brock. Brad explains how these programs coupled with his minor in Business helped him secure his three co-op work terms in the growing field of Data Sciences and Analytics, and how he was named both Brock’s and Ontario’s Co-op Student of the Year in 2019. Brad currently works as a Data Scientist for Expedia Group in London, England, and he outlines the importance of using LinkedIn to build your professional network and set yourself up for success.

Liam catches up with Asad Jalib, an entrepreneur who recently graduated from the Business Administration program at Brock. Asad discusses what brought him to Goodman, his hands-on, presentation-focused courses, and gaining a problem-solving mentality through his executive positions outside the classroom. He also took advantage of Brock’s entrepreneurship opportunities like Monster Pitch, a competition in which students pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges, emulating the show Dragon’s Den. He and his business partner won the competition in 2021, securing guidance and funding to kickstart DirtMarket, which was recently named among the Top 100 Tech Companies to Watch in Canada.

He then explains how he was able to combine his passions for traveling and writing to visit 115 countries, noting positions for the United Nations in New York City, several Olympic games, and even magazines overseas!

In this episode, Sarah is joined by Brianne, a graduate of Brock’s Concurrent Education- Physical Education program and a Brock Varsity Women’s Hockey Team alum. Brianne shares her experiences of being a heavily involved student athlete at Brock, including how she learned to balance varsity sports, academics and extra- curriculars throughout her undergrad. We learn of how since graduating, Brianne has merged two of her biggest passions- sport and education, to become the founder and lead instructor of the Northern Elite Female Hockey Academy, where she utilizes the skills she developed at Brock to serve and inspire young female athletes every day.
